FORUM RULES AND GUIDELINES
These forums should be a place where all handgun hunters can gather to discuss our passion and enjoyment of hunting. However, certain behaviors negatively impact other's ability to enjoy the site.
1. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS
Every handgunner has their own idea as to what constitutes handgun hunting. These opinions tend to be quite strong, and some nasty arguments and severe bad blood have resulted because of them. Your particular sub-method is not inherently better or more special than someone else's. No more of this "true handgun hunter" gatekeeping.
We're all handgun hunters, and we need to stop bickering and stick together.
2. NO VULGAR LANGUAGE
This includes inappropriate terms, inappropriate sexual references, and other vulgar expressions. Use of such language reflects poorly on yourself and the site.
3. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS
Personally attacking forum users with inflammatory or threatening messages is not allowed.
4. NO SPAMMING
Making posts with the sole intention of spreading a hyperlink to a scam, multi-level marketing scheme, or other paid service is not allowed.
5. NO ANTI-HUNTING POSTS
This is a hunting forum. If you have a problem with that, you're leaving.
6. NO DISCUSSION OR CHALLENGE TO OUR EDITING POLICY IS ALLOWED IN THE FORUMS.
If you disagree with something, or wish to know why a specific topic, post, or individual was removed, please email handgunhunters@gmail.com. Moderators and administrators will NOT reply to enquiries or challenges to these rules or judgments on the forums. We will, however, respond to email or private message inquiries.
7. DO NOT ADD HTML TO YOUR POST
HTML coding in your post can disrupt the page you're on.
BB and IMG code is allowed.
8. START NEW THREADS IN THE APPROPRIATE FORUM
"Handgun Hunting" is for all topics relating to hunting with handguns.
"Shooters' Bench" is for topics related to shooting handguns outside of a hunting scenario, discussing ammo or optics, etc.
"Classifieds" is for buying or selling handguns and related equipment.
"Off Topic" is for discussing all other forms of hunting, long guns, other outdoor topics, or just shooting the breeze.
OTHER GUIDELINES
If you don't get along with someone, use the "Ignore User" button on their profile so that you never have to see their posts again. I'm not going to ban someone just because you don't like them.
It's a recurring theme in the hunting community that after 3-4 kills, everyone becomes an "expert." This isn't a good mindset for engaging in a community. Even if you've got a significant amount of experience hunting with handguns, keep an open mind. You never know what new things you might learn that could increase your enjoyment.
Feel free to share your experiences, but keep in mind that other's experiences are just as valid as your own, even if they're opposite to yours.
Do not take someone's handloads as gospel. Never attempt to recreate someone's handload recipe unless you can back it up with official load data from a reputable source. Even if you trust the person, they may have made a typo.
