My hog mount

Description: I got my hog mount back from the taxidermist this past weekend. I was surprised to the hair this white - I guess he was very dirty when I shot him.

if I was a betting man-I would bet he airbrushed the white area ,that is quite a bit of white,I personally would have toned it down a bit -it is a good mount, but I would have toned it down likeI said, just my own preferrance.

There wasn't any airbrushing done to make it whiter or blacker, the hide underneath would show any signs of airbrushing. I'm sure he could have airbrushed it to make it darker but I'm not much on changing the appearance of an animal from something that it is. I've also seen some of his offspring that have that white strip up the middle of the forehead.

Good looking boar. Wild markings - I just looked back at your earlier pics and you can see the lighter tones...I assumed then it was just mud/dirt that made it lighter. Didn't know he had "highlights" Smile

Very cool! It's brighter because it's clean. They root around and wallow in mud, so it's really hard to tell what they really look like in the wild. That hog has great markings and that is a very nice mount!
