Description: This is a gun storage container that utilizes steel mesh, a "draw string" cable and padlock to provide an inexpensive and portable solution to securing firearms or other valuables. The key to how this works can be seen in the closeup photo of the lock (notice the brass bead on the cable.) This bead is pulled through a hole in the collar and aligned with a smaller hole in the collar that it can not pass through. A padlock is placed through the larger hole. The loop end of the cable is then passed around or through a permanent object (like a seat rail) and then the loop end is secured to the lock.

Would you recommend the product? Yes | Price you paid?: $49.95 | Rating: 10

Pros: Inexpensive and inconspicuous, easily slides under the seat of my car, very portable and could be used anyplace you have a fixed object to wrap the cable around or through, can be used for valuable items other than guns.
Cons: The security cable is not coated and it could scratch whatever you secure it to.

I was looking for something to secure a handgun in my vehicle when I come across one of those stupid gun laws that says I can't carry concealed. Initially I thought I wanted a steel container that I could mount somewhere in the vehicle, but after looking at what was available, I decided this mesh bag is a much better solution and it's portable.

This security container is a great value for the money. I especially like that I can take it when I travel and lock up my gun or other valuables in the hotel room or car when I'm not going to carry it. It probably isn't quite as secure as a steel vault type of container but it isn't nearly as conspicuous either. I can slide it under the seat of the car and it's completely out of sight.
