250 Savage Coyote

Description: First kill for my SSK barrel in 250 Savage. About 60 yard frontal head shot exiting his neck just forward of his chest. I really like this caliber/cartridge in a Contender. Low recoil, accurate, and just enough power. Probably 90 percent of a 257 JDJ.

I thought the 250 savage was too much for a contender. Looks like I was wrong.

The 250 and 300 are right on the edge for the 'Tender, Michael. You gotta be careful with loadwork. Congrat's on the dead songdog!

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.
