I used this hog as an opportunity to test the hardcast WFN on double lung shots. The first shot was at about 55 yards with the hog unaware and perfectly broadside. You can see the exit wound in the photo. The hog went hooves up like she was hit by a bus with a tremendous squeel. I marveled at the impact, holstered the gun, and thats when she regained her feet and trotted away. I gave chase and seeing the blood on her sides and the placement of the shot ,I expected her to fall any second. She did not. We covered 100 plus yards before another bullet through the high shoulder to under her ear ended it. You can also see that exit. Conclusion: the hardcast didn't work for a double lung but worked great for a straight line shot throgh the spine and skull. In my opinion, an expanding bullet would have been more effective on the first shot.
