Extreme Penetrator Bullet

Description: I've never been a big fan of solid bullets, but the LeHigh Extreme Penetrator bullets have peaked my interest. I will be testing the 350 gr. .500 version on a Forum Hunt in March.....that is if I ever get my custom Encore barrel from SSK....14 weeks and counting....400 gr. FP for size comparison

These are supposed to be about 1,850 fps out of the 8 3/8" Smith, they should be a little faster out of a 12" closed breech barrel...I'm very interested to see the tissue damage.

From the tests I've seen, they penetrate better than HC bullets and create similar damage to expanding bullets.

I'm interested to see how well they work. Good luck on your hunt.

thought for sure the design of the Penetrator would have been a lot more destructive to the surrounding tissue along the path your bullet traveled in that monster you shot. Also thought the rotational spin would have caused the unique design to act like a mix-master and was hoping the you would have been able to declare that we finally have a "do-all" handgun bullet.....thanks again for you bullet testing.....
