The only one I ever saw was a pelt, taken many years ago, in northern Jersey....

Congrats CMN! I had four coyotes come by me last year on the Rich Mtn. WMA hunt at less than 30 yards. One of them was solid black. I didn't want to shoot because it was "prime time" for bucks, but I've often regretted not taking that shot! Congrats again, that's an awesome handgunned trophy!
