Meat and memories

Description: I took the big bodied buck in the foreground with my TC Scout 50 this past Saturday night. I didn't get field pictures because my son had shot earlier and as soon as my buck went down I hotfooted it over to help my son retrieve the buck in the background. He had slid about halfway down a steep hillside and we were half the night pulling him out.

My buck was old and weighed in the neighborhood of 250 pounds. It was a great night!

Fantastic evening! Congrats to both of you. That scout has always intrigued me.

Congrats. I hope to do the same with my new CVA Optima V2 muzzle loader pistol in a few weeks.

REDHAWK1954

Wind in my face, he was under a stately oak gorging himself on accords. 25 yards, broadside, he ran about 50 yards and went down. Those long and heavy slugs grave real well in the barrel of my gun and it is accurate as all get out. I feel good with it out to 75 yards but thats an absolute max for me.

REDHAWK1954

It's an old ADCO 3/4 inch 1X red dot. That thing has been super durable. 23 years on the gun and counting.

Congrats on the double! Great hunt!

My T/C Renegade loved the Maxi-ball. Then I switched to a 385 gr Great Plains (discont'd)
