Thanks Darrel,
I thought I had commented on this photo. Don't know what happened.
Anyway. This is an archery Buck taken in Oct 2012. I use traditional equipment (recurve in this instance). It was about a 20 yard shot.
I thought I had made a questionable shot so I left him over night and found him the next morning about 100 yards away.
Won the big buck contest at my archery club with it.
Thanks for the good words.

Wow! traditional archery equipment makes it even more special. In addition to handguns I have an interest in traditional black powder rifles and I'm toying with the idea of investing in a longbow. Very impressive harvest, congrats again.

Thanks again Darrel. I usually shoot a longbowl but had the recurve on that particular day.
I also shoot a flintlock muzzleloader with which I took a nice fat doe in Pennsylvanians Early muzzleloader season last month. Traditional front stuffer was a lot of fun.

Nice buck. I enjoy traditional archery I just don't practice enough to hit anything on the first shot.
