You shot your buck in some beautiful country! The MOA you're shooting looks like it did a great job, I have never shot one. I do you like them compared to other single shots?

Thanks guys, Franchise the way the gun operates with the falling block action takes some getting used to. If I was to get another single shot i would probably go with a bolt gun. I will say that I like it a lot more than any of the break open guns, like the TC's or freedom arms.

What bullet are you using in the 284?

Outstanding buck! How do you get your deer to fall in such beautiful areas? Wink Congrats!

Thanks for the kind words gentleman.

SChunter I'm using the 154gr. sst over 53grs. of VV-N160 running between 2650-2660fps. It will typically shoot 1/2" and under at 100 yards. The shot on this deer was a nice little 400+ yard shot.

KRal the view is like that pretty much 360 so it's hard not to take a nice picture. It's not all that far from where I shot my last two Mule Deer bucks in 2011 and 2012. In talking with the Fish and Game they said they have seen several Muley-Whitetail hybrids come out of this area.
