Barnes 44 solid bullet

Description: Came across an interseting Barnes bullet in my reload components that was last made in 1995. Its a solid bronze mix weighing 240grs. They also made one in , I believe, 265grs that I tried to locate without success. The story I heard was they were discontinued because they might penetrate a policemans vest. However, always figured they would be a great bullet to handload for a handgun in dangerous game territory...Sort of like a "lite" Punch....

they do look a lot like a Belt MTN.

Didn't know that they made those in handgun calibers
