Description: This was my original hunting battery which consisted of my scoped Python, a parkerized 5"
S&W in 44 Special and a Winchester 30-30 carbine that I borrowed from my brother-in law just to have a rifle.

240, No...she a parts gun. The barrel was a model 27 that PO Ackley bored to .429 that I bought ,along with the cylinder, from a old S&W parts guy. Austin Behlert fit everything together and had it parkerized along with cutting the barrel to 5". That was awhile ago...

John, At that time I did not handload and from reading all the deer hunting articles by Dick Metcalf I settled on a Winchester 158gr JHP..
