GatorGlock
Glock vs. Gator

Description: This is my first gator, taken 9/29/05. I brought it in with bowfishing gear and dispatched it with a 2nd generation Glock 19 using 124 grn Hornady XTP.

Thats a nice gator. If I were to shoot one I think I try to get a full body mount.

Two Thumbs Up.

Cool. I worry about those here in New Orleans.

Very nice Gary, we have perhaps some of the best Gator huntin down here in south florida. I've seen some real big ones in the 500 to 600 pound range, but I'm sure the smaller ones have more tender meat for eating. Good to see someone else use an auto pistol like myself.Very nice gator.

This gator was my first and was 7' long. When I get drwan for my second tag I'll be more picky. I took the shot with my bow at 30 yrds w/ a 1600 grn pototype bowfishing/gator arrow. A lucky shot indeed! I knew it would be a clean hit, or a clean miss; I was aimed for the neck, just behind the head. I thought it was an 8-footer at that range. The pistol shot was almost point-blank so I didn't feel the need for anything bigger. I love autopistols, too! The 10mm is almost ballistically identical to the .41 Magnum.

The game warden showed me a 14 footer today. I am going to stay away from that hunting area. It might eat my game.
