Mig, This photo brings back memories of my first boar with a 44. That`s a nice black boar. I think God put boar`s on this earth for handgun hunter`s. If I was limited to one handgun it would be my 454 and if I was limited to one game animal it would be boar. JFJ

I'm a Boar hunter period, I will hunt other game animals, but these critters are my number one favorite. I do most of my hunting in private land, most of the dogs you'll see on my pics don't belong to me but to the land owners. But still, hunting wild hogs with dogs is the most adrenaline pumping type of hunting. You should definately give it a try. It's addictive.

It also provides good meet during off-season hunting. I obtained a 45-70 just for pigs.

45-70 is a good round for Hogs. I feel it kicks more than I'd like on a handgun,but if you can handle the punch, it's a caliber hard to beat for close work.
