475 Elk

Description: I took this cow elk with my Freedom Arms in 475 Linebaugh from 60 yards with a 325 grain Speer Deep Curl bullet. She ran about 50 yards and piled up. Sharp quartering towards me, the bullet broke her right front shoulder and went unrecovered into the paunch. We were hunting on the Texana Ranch in Hunt, TX.

Duh! I guess I could have told you that. I hunted on the Texana Ranch. They still have a couple cows of this size left at very good price. Let me know if you're interested but they probably won't last long.

Nice trophy and should fill the freezer. Nothing like breaking in a new iron.
