Way to start it off right!

Wyote, what bullet are you using in the 270?

SChunter
I was using the 130 gr Berger. This was the first head of game I've shot with the Berger. Not happy with the results of this kill. The bullet went thru one shoulder blade, broke a rib, broke a rib going out, and broke the shoulder...............no expansion to speak of. The exit on the hide was no bigger than a dime (if that). I'll try this bullet one more time and if it shows the same I'll still be looking for the right bullet.

Off to a great start!! I got a 'deal' on 200 130gr Berger VLD 'hunters' in .264. Was going to use them on these "OKIE" deer this year. Looks like I may have to reconsider based on your report.
