DSCF2044
Super Redhawk IN .454 Casull

Description: Here is my favorite deer cartridge/gun.I have put a Wolff reduced spring kit in it for a 3Ibs. trigger pull.I use a 250 gr. X.T.P. over 33.9gr. of H110 with a C.C.I.400 small rifle primer for a velocity of 1520+ F.P.S., drops deer quickly!I have a 1" Ultra-dot on this baby and it has taken literally thousands of rounds of heavy recoiling factory loads/Mag Tech factory 260 gr. softpoints at 1860F.P.S. before I got my reloading dies and switched to the current load above.

This setup shoots flat enough to 150 yards,I use the edge of the top of the red dot for more precise shooting instead of concentrating and using the whole dot on the target-I hope this makes sense what I'm trying to say.

Those 250gr XTP`s are a great bullet that I`ve also used numerous times..

John, your aiming system makes perfect sense. While learning to better my archery game, I learned to "aim small, miss small". Same concept.

archr610,I shoot archery too so I guess we kind of think alike because that's the way I practice my archery game too ,aim small and she'll/should be-in the kill zone!

I have a Weaver red dot "quick point" on my .44 mag Redhawk and shoot it the same way,top part of red dot for aiming, and it shoots flat to 150 yards also
