Colt_38_Super
Colt_38_Super

Description: Thought you guys would enjoy seeing this 1930`s doublesided advertisement for Colt`s then new 38 Super. The small print:"That split second of danger, when every shot must reach its mark...unfailing,unswerving...calls for an arm that shoots fast, with deadly accuracy and telling results." Don`t you just love those old gun add`s....

Ad's didn't have to be politically correct back then.

Nice James!

Col. Doug Wesson took a brown bear with the "NEW" 357 Magnum in 1935, so that add was not too far off. LOL

And some guys think they need a 475 minimum to hunt bear.?.?

I'm set to inherit a 1903 Colt in 38 Auto which I know isn't the same as the super but they are cool guns all the same. I'm guessing this frame is the same, thinner and lighter. It's cool to find old adds and posters from that era.
