Hate to see your tire bill!

If it jams force it! If it breaks it needed replacing anyway.

You were reading my mind. That was going to be my next comment about that rig. It is also a reason my Dodge diesel only has 4 tires and not 6.

50 tires on the ground. The truck is a late model 379 Peterbilt. It has a 550 cat motor, 18 speed transmission, double frame, heavy front steer axle, heavy rears with 2 speeds, and a lift axle.

I'm glad I don't buy the tires. LOL

I'd hate to guess what the bill for diesel was on that trip too!

Nice rig Tigger!

I have worked at a couple power plants where this type rig has moved a spare transformer into the main switchyard. Serious big boy toys.
Nice rig.

Loaded I get about 1.5 miles to the gallon. On a good day when you can get some miles in, it's easy to burn over a $1,000.00 worth of fuel.

Corners can be a little interesting, but you usually have 2 escorts with you to shut down the intersections. Some states even require police escort. Somedays it's more of a headache than you can imagine. LOL

I remember that, if this is the same one, and if I remember right, the transformer blew during the summer months the fireball lit up the sky's, we thought we were under attack.LOL
It is located a few miles from my house and blackouts was a def. concern. We got daily reports on where it was and its progress to the valley seemed to take forever. That is so cool finding this pic
