I was able to hit this one in the shoulder and it did exit on the OFFSIDE Shoulder, and destroyed it. My bad on trying to make a shot when it was not broadside, angled towards the right,,, and I hit the hindquarters.
Although it when down and expired, it baffled me when I saw the heart untouched and the lungs unhurt. My hands were so bloody at that point and the phone was in my pocket. I should have done whatever it took to get a pic.
I am not claiming any magic on the load or the bullet! But possibly the hydrostatic shock was the heavy hitter in this case. As you can see it was a young EWE. Federal claims like 1540 on this load. I chronographed it doing 1700FPS and with that 300gr bullet it has to hit hard.
Made some awesome Breakfast sausage.

"ADAPT OR DIE". I USE ALL CAPS, NOT BECAUSE I AM YELLING, BUT BECAUSE IT IS AN OLD HABIT FROM MY ARMY DAYS, PLUS IT IS EASIER TO TYPE AND READ.

It wouldn't disappoint me a bit to shoot a ewe. They are some cool looking animals, and any handgunned audad is a trophy. Well done!
