There was major difference of opinion over a picture I posted of two beat up bullets and saying they were A-frames... They were XTP`s.... I some how put the recovered 475 XTP in with the two .41 XTP`s from another hunt and assumed they were A-Frames...I`ve posted a photo of the actual recovered A-Frames from that hunt and they are picture perfect...My sincere apology to trademark, Whit, cherkee tracker, 45 man and anyone else involved. It was never my intention to cause problems or offend anybody. Its no fun getting older..

I am not, nor is anyone, offended that i know of. It was a response made in the goal of accuracy of information. The boards exist to spread information. The best boards are the best, because they provide the best info. Might make sure KRAL knows what exact bullets he has so he can best know where and what to use them on. Any idea of how much those bullets weighed? I know we talked right after that hunt and i know you were surprised how mangled they were. Any chance you used the xtps by mistake on the hog? They look very similiar when loaded?

Exactly. And this is why I take painstaking effort to post honestly and accurately. It?s exhausting, but integrity is too important to me.

Thank you James for clearing things up. I know I was not angry and there was no Witch hunt. I do know guidance for Neophytes is what several are after. Honesty and Integrity are Paramount, first with ourselves then others. We all must be careful what is written or posted. This so we may learn the Truth and what works and what doesn't. This is our obligation to others and the next generation of Handgun Hunters.

I have the remaining batch of James ammo and will post pics of ammo and pull some of the bullets and do a cross section cut. I just can?t do it right now and it?ll be a while.

No need, just show a pic if the loded round and i can tell you which bullet it is and if you just pull one bullet itll be plainly obvious. I think james cleared it up but id know what they are before you use them.

I?m pretty sure they?re A-frames. I think James just got crossed up on his picture because it was A-frames that were pulled from the hog; I seen ?em. He fired five, if my memory serves me correct. But you?re correct, 41 A?s and Xtp?s do resemble when loaded, but easily differentiated if you know what to look for.

KIM: THE BOOTOM OF A XTP IS ALL JACKET, THE BOTTOM OF AN AFRAME IS OPEN AS THAT IS WHERE THEY GET THE LEAD INTO THE SHANK UNDERNEATH THE AFRAME (PARTITION).
