I went with x-high, just to be safe and it was plenty. Perhaps more than necessary, but I like a higher scope on all my handguns so no harm done.

I also have the extra high. The diameter of the objective lens will likely not give you an issue. There's really not that much of a concern with it hitting the front sight, but the rear sight is a different story. Some pistol scopes will require removal of the rear sight. The extra high mounts will cure this issue.
