Measured mine today.

Cylinder not including small ring on front to space for barrel and notches on back for hand 3.000 inches
Opening next to barrel to around firing pin 3.095 inches
Opening below barrel 3.090 inches
Opening from barrel to around firing pin 3.022 inhes

Rod, you gotta let us know what you are thinking!

Looking over the case dimensions I think a .53 based on the 348 win would be killer. If you took all the taper out of the case it should work.

thanks, I appreciate it and once i do some figuring I'll let you guys know what I'm thinking. Unfortunately I'm held to the 50 cal max by ATF so as far as I know the 510 is as big as I can go.

Can't you get a sporting exemption? I know it is possible, just don't know the steps, or if this particular case would qualify.

you can get an exemption for just about anything as long as ATF gets some $$$$$$$ out of it.
