any of you with the long framed bfr I'd appreciate it if you could first measure the length of the cylinder and then measure the length of the actual cylinder window in the frame along the bottom of the top strap and also from the firing pin hole to the frame where the barrel comes through but not the barrel. My sadistic nature is at work again and wheels are turning in my mind.

Thanks to any of you that can help

Rod, I don't think you can stuff a .458 WM in there ;-)

I'm not sure what I'm thinking yet, that's why I need the dimensions, I think the 458 would be too long but that's why they invented wildcats

Good because I have another idea I'm working on but I need those measurements since I don't have one on hand at the moment. I figure on trying to come up with something that hasn't been done yet which is getting very hard since the wheel has been reinvented so many times.

I am not sure, but I believe Tony had to make a longer cylinder and cut back the barrel forcing cone the do the .458 WM. Maybe even open the frame a bit.

Mine by the way is actually a 50-110, but I shoot 50 AK in it. He had a 50-110 cylinder laying around and gave me a better price by going that way.

I will measue mine today when I get out in my shop. My cylinder and frame are still the stock size.

Make a 55 caliber based on a straight wall 348 Winchester.
