My first handgun kill was a 4 point buck with my 25-06 encore pistol with a truglo red dot sight.

Does this count?

Taraus .17 hmr, 8" barrel, and a late squirrl

Followed by:

SW .44m and white tail doe.
Snagged another doe this year with my t/c .270. A bit of overkill at 20 some yards, but she got in the freezer. 'course my first doe this year was with an Eswing. go figure.

First handgun kill was a ground hog with a 10" Contender in .44 Mag and open sights. Too poor to have a scope in those days.

visit often rarely post --but #1 was spike deer .41 Magnum Blackhawk open sights= 40 yards -- Lyman 410459, 20 gr H110 cci 350
1981-- -- now my 3 hunting handguns are all scoped
