I one in .475, one in .22 Hornet and one that has been converted to .50 Ak and they have all met my expectations. A great gun for the price, very close to custom quality.

Some of the most accurate revolvers I have shot. I have one and am very happy with it.

I really like mine in 475 Linebaugh. Outstanding quality.

I think if you don't want to spend the $$ on custom or FA they are the best buy for the money. They are very close in quality to the FA and yet a step ahead of the Rugers. They can also be worked over to improve action and function as the internal parts are Ruger or copies of. I had a 45-70 that would shoot under 3" all day long with a red dot or leupold 2x. Mine was a 7.5 which is a nice size, the longer version balances better with a scope or gives you a longer sight radius if you go irons. It also gives you another 50-100fps in velocity. If I weren't building my own now I'd lean toward the BFR, don't get me wrong I'd love to build you a 475 but I know it's not everybody's thing. I can however smooth her out for you if you get one.

The ones I've shot have all been good shooters. There a couple things I don't like though. The grip shape is horrendous for a hard kicking gun and the front sight mounting is a joke. The fit and finish is no where near FA quality but they are less expensive.

America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system and too early to shoot the bastards.

I agree. The grip frame sucks, particularly with Micarta grips. The only fix (aside from grafting a Bisley grip frame to it) is that ugly rubber grip (it does significantly change the grip angle). The aluminum front sight is cheap. Fit and finish for a revolver out in the field isn't so important to me, but I will say that the new BFRs shoot lights-out. We have managed a 1/4-inch 3-shot 50 yard group with mine and handloads -- 430man shot that group. Scary accurate. Mine is getting a Bisley grip frame and better sights.......

X3-I have one in .45-70. I wrote a little about it in the shooters bench forum. I love the gun, but a better grip would be great too. To say they are less expensive is a bit of an understatement though, from what I've seen, they are about half the price.

I have one in 454 and it is very accurate. Fit and finish is close to custom as you can get. The only thing that I don't like is the rubber grips on it. I made my own grip panels for it from Zebrawood.
