I am considering buying a Savage Striker in .243 and would like to use Berger 115 gr VLD bullets and was wondering if the twist rate as fast enough to stabilize them. I would think it would require a rate of 1 in 9 or faster.

Has anyone tried these bullets in a Striker?

Looks like heavier bullets are out, but I may get it anyway and use for predator hunting and it would not be difficult to convert to 6.5 Creedmore when deer and antelope season comes around.

I just bought this off gunbroker in .243 and would appreciate any info on good loads.

I will leave it alone for now and use for coyote hunting, but may install some 6.5 mm barrel at a later day for larger game.
