About 10 years ago I purchased a FA 555, which used to be the model number for their 50AE guns. I only had it for about 2 yrs and sold it to buy a Desert Eagle in the same cal. I guess it was the "cool" factor that tempted me to do such a stupid thing. Anyway, I recently sold the DE50 and today took delivery of another FA 50AE. Fortunately the cost was about the same as I got for the other 8 yrs ago. This isn't the first time I've loved, and lost, only to love again. How about you?

Too many to count, so I don't. The only sold guns that really haunt me are the ones that weren't sold for another gun, but rather to pay a bill of some extraneous circumstance. Those I want all back ;-(

yep, I had to sell off a small collection when I went through my divorce years ago and then when I realized I was going down physically I downsized my archery and firearms collection and even downgraded my truck. What really sucks about the latter is I moved too soon and I could have held on to everything including the truck (new 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins with 20k on it) I could have still had my truck, bows and approximately 30 firearms I sold. AHHHHHHHHHHH, sorry I still get a little tweaked when I think about it.

I have to agree that there are just too many to give a good accurate count or limit to one. A 6" Colt Diamondback .22, a 4" Colt Python that had been to Larry Kelly, a Freedom Arms in 500 WE with the serial number I1111, and on and on and on. But, if I had to I wish I had the gun that parents bought me when I turned 12, a Marlin model 60 (nothing fancy) that got traded for something, who knows what.

I will say this, the thread has made go down memory lane a bit as I type.

My very 1st handgun was a used single-six. I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it. In a fit of frustration I offered to sell it to a hunting buddy and it was gone in a flash. I consoled myself later by believing I would still see the gun every year when we met up for our annual hunt. A few years later we get together and are out in his pickup when he reaches under the seat and pulls out his latest acquisition. After we all "oow, aah" he tells us he traded the single-six for it! It was like a piece of me died and fell off!

He was carrying his new piece around shoved into an old yellow chore glove, so the next morning I stopped by the local gunshop to see about buying him a proper holster for it. I'm pouring over the used holster box when I come across one that looks familiar. I rush over to the used handgun display, and sure enough there is my old Ruger. Of course I buy it back, along with the holster.

I swore that was the last time I sell a gun, but it wasn't.

I have been threw a plethora of TC barrels. The only 2 I regret parting with are: 1, 12in full bull Encore in 44 Mag & 2, 14 TC Custon Shop 375 Win. The 1st one I can still justify because of my SRH's in 44 & 480. The second on I got back and THE PRECIOUS IS MINE, MINE... Muwahahahahah

Handguns, haven't made that mistake yet...but there's some I didn't buy (or hesitated on) and have regretted ever since.

Worst case was a 5.5" FA M97 in 45LC with octagonal barrel, action job, black micartas and snapcaps that I picked up, played with and put back in the case...and then called back the next day and it was GONE.

You see, I had recently taken possesion of my "second" 454 Casull just days prior that I had bought because it was a good deal...by the time I rationalized a sale (of either 454#2 or a kidney), it was too late.
