Man this is encouraging! I've been reading everything that comes up on here since I asked the question a week or so ago. I'm very glad that so many put such a high priority on the 2nd Ammendment. I'd like to explain something though--
At first I wasn't going to explain myself cause I didn't want to be the one to start any arguements. Anyway, my list is in the order it is in because I think that if we don't have national securtiy, or controled borders, we won't even have the RIGHT to keep our guns. Some other country takes us over, then they take, or try to take, our guns. If we can defend our country first and foremost, they never get the chance to take our Second Ammendment. HOWEVER, I do believe that some of our own citizens are trying to take it away anyway! Idiots...
The second item on my list is because I have a very strong Christian background. My father is a pastor, and it is just how I have grown up. Again, I'm not gonna try to push this on anyone, its just MY views.
I'm glad the 2A is at the top of so many lists!!! Now, do you all do something to defend the 2A, or is it just a priority??!! Hope I didn't step on any toes there!!

I'm a Life Member of the NRA and I bought my wife and daughter Life Memberships. It would have been cheaper to buy a family membership but I wanted them to make their own decision and have their own memberships.
I used to donate regularly but with the new business I've had to back off but I do supporst the NRA by dealing with Brownells and Midway and using the round-up program.

Likewise, my wife and I are each life members. I buy memberships in the NRA for various family members each year. Trying to do my part to keep the numbers up and hopefully, light a fire in some of them one day.

The 2nd amendment is tops for me,as a NRA member I pretty much VOTE for who they endorse. Our economy next, and then our national security. That is my PG version, there is a lot of other BS going on in this country that pisses me off, and I;m not going to go there tonight.

I think I've found a kindred Spirit in Wapitirod, I could not agree more. And this coming from someone who served under Carter and Reagan. Reagan was a godsend after the idiot Carter. I never thought we would see worse in my lifetime but the current potus is as dangerous as they come to the American way of life. in my order; 2nd Amendment Military Strength Borders/national Security Jobs/debt
That's about as good a list as I've seen. If they won't uphold the constitution for the 2nd Amendment they won't uphold it for any of the others either. So much for oaths huh!

It goes without saying, without the 2nd there would be NO amendants to the Constitution! Second of all a very large debt is owed our military, its time we took care of the people taking care of us!! The border must be secured before we can get to work on other problems. The economy will straighten itself out once Big Brother gets off its back. Once you give up something you realize its importance and you won't get it back. Just my opinion, thanx for letting me post. New member been reading and trying to learn from all the experience here.Thanx again God Bless

As far as I am concerned, the 2nd amendment is the first to go in a plan/scheme to a communist country. It is a LOT easyier to take rights from the people when they don’t have the means to take them back for themselves. In short, if you take the second amendment away, I feel like the first amendment would disappear very quickly!!!!!!!!!!

I still think we're barking up the wrong tree. Who is actually going to take away our firearms and then trash the rest of the Bill of Rights?
I know there are a few American citizens out there that would love to see that happen but just who would provide the muscle? Surely not anyone in our Armed Forces and they will see to it that no group or nation ever succeeds in doing so.
Now, over time and with indoctrination of our youth to socialistic/communistic views it will come to pass later on in this century, but as long as we see to it that our school boards don’t allow this to happen and elect American Citizens to Congress that live by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, it will never come to be.
Hope you all noticed the Great State of Texas is reviewing school textbooks for accuracy – every State should do so with vigor. Some school districts are reviving Civics classes without being PC about it. How about a school board that allows ROTC and Marksmanship as an after school sponsored extracurricular activity.
It must begin in 2012 and continue on – there’s a lot that needs doing and it’s going to take some time to reverse all the BS that we’ve been “tolerating” for the past 50 years (like the warren court) but enough is enough – we need a fresh start.
