4.3 gr under 230gr Pb is on the upper edge recommended hotness, right? Do you get any pressure signs at 4.3gr?

I thought of another one, somewhere around 4.5 gr of IMR 700-X.
Thought it was a nice load, going by feel, but accuracy was not that good when I tried it. Then again, my crimping skills were somewhat lackluster back then.

Still have a few pounds of AA#7 in my office, may be worthwhile loading some of that stuff up this winter for a chrono session.

I went with 6.0 Gr of Unique a 230 gr RN lead hard cast bullet and a Winchester primer. The load did great and with the Lee die set I has no feeding issue.

Thanks for all the good feedback

Recently developed a new one with great potential to be accurate.
230XTP over 10.6 AA#7 at 1.260" OAL with Federal Magnum primer in Winchester brass. Only shot it offhand but can tell it can be very accurate. http://www.pdpsa.net has a picture.

edit: never mind, it's not a cast bullet.

The cast load above is very accurate in my Sig 220--did not do as well in my SA Mil Spec 1911

Plan to try it in my S&W 25-- should drive tacks in that gun

Have you chrono'd the Unique load?
If I can load up to around 740fps, it may be worthwhile trying.
My supply of Clays is about to run out and that's been my staple for years.

I use Alliant Unique,6.2, and have shot a lot of matches with this load. I put this charge behind the Lyman 225 gr cast rn,and have had a lot of good luck with this.
