It would match your purple motorcycle quite nicely!

if that dosn't work with the "v" notch i believe brownells offers blank sight blades for the rear so you can start from scratch. good luck, of course if all else fails call stan. by the way bullelk I'm a little concerned, I mean I've always heard you easterners aren't as hardy as those of us out here in the west but a pink gun is pushing the issue.

Wapitirod, I'm not that hardy. I am sorry. I could never, ever shoot a bull Elk 12 miles from the truck, skin, quarter, and pack a a full hind-quarter, form a big bull, 6x6 315BC antlers, day-pack and my TC 375JDJ 12 miles back to the truck, and then return 5 1/2 miles to camp in the dark, sleep and do it all over again the next day, Honest. People only dream of being that hardy!! I sure wish I was real hardy like you Out-west guys!
Besides, that pretty blue XP that is posted here on this site is a pretty gun too! I still vote to sell the Ruger and buy the Smith. Momma, don't let your sons grow up to be cowboys - nor shoot them funny lookin cowboy guns! BTW- The Intruder is Silver; the stripes are purple. Dan always did look at things differently, but that's true of anyone who wears penny loafers. Gerry!!!!!!!!!!!

alright then bullelk I owe you and apology, you didn't do to bad for a flatlander, but on second thought didn't you say in another post that you lived in colorado at one time, you realize thats an automatic disqualification for flatlander status and whats wrong with cowboys and cowboy guns, I don't consider myself to be a true cowboy but I have worked as a cowhand in my younger years and my personal carry gun is a 357 blackhawk with 4 5/8 barrel, I used to have a model 37 smith but I like the weight and balance of the ruger better plus it makes a neat mess out of rattlers. also to be honest I've never had to pack an elk out yet, I just sit on old logging roads and wait for them to cross and dump them in there tracks, then all I have to do is back truck up to them and I use a 4000lb winch mounted in the back of my truck with a piece of 3/4 in plywood and pull them in. of course last sunday I went out and bought an 05 ram 2500 with that new cummins in it and now I have to reinstall all of my equipment, especially since I will be spending my memorial day weekend chasing bears on the west side of the state and there are some canyons there that I don't want to try and get a bear out of without my winches and come alongs.

Wapiti, there must be a mistake somewhere. I interviewed for a job in Laramie and in Fort Collins but to no avail.
I had my butt kicked by them mountains back in 1988 and I learned my lesson. Pain conditioing is much, much better than pain and suffering on the mountai while having fun! No winches for me, but since I turned 50 2 years ago, we now lead horses for packing. I don't ride;I don't even pretend to be a cowboy. I'm just teasing about the cowboy guns. "I never said I didn't know how to use them, said I never I had a use for one"! I have a Ruger or two, but for some reason I don't pick them up much. My favorite is a 4 5/8" Ruger BlackHawk in .45LC. Cummin's huh? Us flatlanders out here don't have a real need for them, but alot have them. Mostly the horsey-types that pull big trailers. Big Brother is hammering us at about $2.60+/gallon for that stuff. They do thump out some real power thouh. I guess they can be considered the JDJ's of the trucks!! Good luck with it!!

Congrats on that Ruger...I have to bone up and purchase some more Rugers. I only have the SBHH to call my own...Although I have been looking longingly at the Ruger Single Six Hunter in 22lr/22wmr.
