More of normal chest beating arrogance of the police. They had an option there and didn't have to take her in or take her gun but it's gotten to the point where alot of cops think they are the only ones that should have guns. I've got three different friends that worked in different areas as cops one was as stater and worked with swat and the bomb squad, the other has spent 30yrs as a deputy sherriff and the other was the firearms training officer for another county sherriffs office and they have all said the same thing. While there has always been power trips when a badge is pinned on these newer guys are way worse, apparently they've watched to much tv and to quote my one buddy they are a bunch arrogant little bastards. They all have also said that the majority of these would rather talk themselves into a fight than out of one. They are just itching for a reason to draw a weapon whether it be a gun, baton or taser, just look at the news and how many unneccesary tasings they are. They've turned into a bunch of chicken shits that can't take someone into custody without disabling them first including elderly people. There are some cops I have alot of respect for and I respect the job they do but at the same time I don't respect badges or uniforms the person in it has to earn my respect. They seem to forget it's just a job and they are no different than you and I but how many times do you think those cops have unnecessarily pointed a gun at someone? If you do it they'll hammer you for brandishing.
