Congrats. 7x57 is a great cartridge & the m-77 is a great vehicle for it!
I'm in the ranks of the sinner too (in more ways than one!). Still have a few rifles around though they don't get used much. The exception is my Marlin Guide Gun if 450 Marlin. I love that gun! On the 12th of Sept I'll be leaving for a 10 day wilderness moose hunt. We'll take a boat about 20 miles accross a lake into a wilderness area, then backpack in 3.5 miles to set up camp. It's a limited draw wilderness area (probaly near 100 sq miles, one month season, & 10 tags given) & antler restrictions say 50" or better or 3 brow tines. Can also take 2 black bear each if the opportunity arrises. My partner has no moose tag for the area so he's black bear hunting only. Should be a blast although moose #s are down because the brown bear population is WAY up.
Anyway, the Guide Gun in 450 shooting 420 hardcast at 1825fps is what will be going with ,me on this trip (4&5/8" BH in 45 Colt will be on the hip just in case).
