I’ve been privileged to see this once before “I’m 63 and Tired”, and I have to say I’m “54 AND FEEL EXACTLY AS HE DOES”, I may not be as eloquent and I may not have the stature he has yet I count amongst the millions that share the opinion that our politicians are raping us. I never owned a slave, nor has a member of my family ever owned a slave, when my grandparents arrived from Ireland the signs said “Irish and Niggers Need Not Apply”, yet they became game fully employed, raised fine educated families and gave back to the community in actions. My Paternal grandparents were from New England, MY grandfather was a Lighthouse Keeper and My Grandmother assisted him while she was not tending to the 8 children, They too gave back to the community in service, my grandmother took in children of those less fortunate and nursed the parents of those that were required to work full time to support the growing families. No one expected you to hand them money because things were tight, they would offer a hot meal, a place to sleep and whatever clothing they had that would half way fit the kids. All of my uncles and myself all served in the active military, reserves were just not a way of thinking back then, you had a war, you enlisted, you won and you discharged, the benefit was schooling and a GI loan to get you started back on the family growth, you lived where you could afford, ate what you could afford and if you didn’t hunt or fish, someone else in the community did and was always willing to share a bit. There were lots of weekend barbecues because that kept bringing the extended family together and it was a way to make the food dollar go further. I grew up around the water and I always loved fishing and crabbing so even as a youngster I did my share and some of the catch went to other family members and friends. In the winter snows you went around the neighborhood after shoveling your own snow and see who needed their walks and drives done, never asking to get paid , but were very happy when someone gave you a tip or a mug of hot cocoa. My Irish Grandfather was a Policeman in Yonkers NY, that was the only place that would hire the Irish, during the depression and before becoming a Lighthouse Keeper Poppa Westgate dug graves, or ditches for the CCC and WPA nobody looked for a free ride. I’ve worked hard all my life to attain those things that that can either keep me employed as a tradesman, do repairs on my own home or family and friends homes and that allow me some sense of security knowing a policeman can never be everywhere at any time. I am an American by birth and by choice I swore to uphold the constitution from both domestic and foreign terrorists and if anyone out there feel that our government isn’t a domestic terrorist just look back through history, our own and that of other nations that proclaimed they knew what was right for the masses be damned of the infringements and costs to the average citizen. I am a strong proponent of the second amendment and protect those rights of mine as well as those of the people that just don’t give a [censored]. Want something out of life, get an education, get a job, you can always advance, start your own business with family, gees come on, the Asians have been doing it for decades, don’t ever fall for the line “I’m from the government and I’m here to help you” Help each other and keep the government out of it.

I'm only 40, but I'm tired. I was born in the wrong century. I would have been at peace in the woods, living in a cabin without power. I believe that what the world percieves as progress is usually self defeating.

The governor of California is one of those jokers who believes the population is stupid and needs to be told what to do.He used to be my hero when I was younger because of all the hero movies he was in but when I learned who his hero was/is I had to open my eyes and realize he's one of these jokers whose power hungry and knows whats best for all of us,and by-the-way,Arnolds hero-adolf hitler, don't believe me,look into for yourself hes not shy.Henry Kissmybutt Kissenger says the same about us all and the soldier is a stupid pawn to do the bidding of the elite,I feel horrible for even writing what he said about our soldiers but people need to open their eyes and realize the politicians don't care about us.Charles Stanley wanted Christians to commit praying for our country for 20 weeks because even he has seen whats going on and he said that within the next 18 months he thinks most of ,what rights we have left, will be taken away.I think we all need to really be praying for our country because God is the only one who can turn America around and their even trying to take this freedom away, using the name and praying in Jesus name away from us but its ok to use any other gods name or religion, that should give all of us a clue as to whom the "elite" worship?!

I can totally relate, I'm only 42 but I've worked my body into the ground and I'm now considered completely disabled but rather than live off ssi I'm trying to start a revolver building business but sometimes I wonder what's the purpose with so many idiots around us willing to give up the freedoms our for fathers fought for. My family has fought in the revolution, spanish/american war, world war II, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq not to mention peace time service such as mine yet most people are so ignorant of the price paid for their freedom that I want to kill them. There are alot of days I pray that if the time is here that the dear lord take me so I don't have to see anymore of the perversion of our country or the people that make it up. I find everyday I have more trouble not starting a fight with someone flaunting an obama bumper sticker. They can't seem to realize this guy is a muslim looking out for his interest and that of his communist buddies. I don't say this in a light hearted mannor but if you research those around him you'll find he surrounds himself with communist because he wishes to bring America to it's knees so the rest of the world can be at our level rather than have us at the top as we used to be. I hate to say this but if given a chance I'd take that sob out in a second even if it meant the rest of my life in the pen or a needle. I just pray and hope in November we can neutralize the bastard and then in 2012 replace him and get our country back.

Strong words, but sadly true.
Between the libs and the oil spill, this country is in deep trouble.

I am older than 63 and worse than "tired" of it. If I recall correctly, this country "used to be about" life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. I cannot find the word guarantee in there anywhere.
I am opposed to entitlements. I am opposed to entitlement attitudes. My father told me many times that there was not one day in the 30's that he could not find work if he wanted to work. The work was not necessarily what he wanted to do, it may not have paid much, but it was there (at least for him in the farming & ranching country of NM). Of course, he possessed some marketable skills in that world (could ride a pretty good bronc, was a "top-hand" with the young horses & the cattle, etc.).
He, nor his father, (or me) have ever taken $1 in assistance from the government (or otherwise) in making our way. Granddad homesteaded a section in NM many years ago and then fenced in the adjoining 30 sections. He carried a gun every day to ward off the cowboys from the "big ranch" who were trying to run him off.
In addition --- he was also Irish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm praying along side you brother....but consider this. Henry Blackaby once wrote, "Don't blame the darkness for acting like darkness." In other words, why would anyone expect such people to act in any other way than they do? The problem is not so much those people of the darkness, it's the dimness of our lamps, or as Jesus put it, “Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:15-16 ESV)"
The Church has to wake up, and stop expecting a fallen world to suddenly get better all on it's own! So Charles Stanley is right, we do need to pray for the world, but it has to start, "at home".
