What do you use to Sight IN Your Pistols ?
My current Rest has a Steal/Rubber coated Y on the end
to Support the forend.
I dont Like the way The Barrel Hits It During Recoil
( NO CUSHION )

I use a flat sandbag under the barrel of revolvers or forend for the break open and bolt guns.

I have bi-pods on some of the bolt and break open rigs.

I use a soft carry bag with my insulated bib coveralls in them. Its just about the right height while shooting off the tailgate of my truck, and conveniate because I always keep them in my truck. Sandbags are best though for a rock solid rest. Either one will not damage or mar the gun. Ive made sandbags out of some cutoff legs from old denim pants, and simply tie the ends.

I use The Rock made by Caldwell. My SP rests on the rest and then I put something soft on the hind leg to support the grip and protect it under recoil.

I use this: http://sebcoax.com/

Or this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCsyjQr0Yrc

Sometimes, I just use a Harris BR bi-pod, notched legs swivel version with pod-loc

I use sandbags with a homemade wedge (2 pieces of 1"x6" hinged w/ a loose block of wood between the two to adjust inclination, sandpaper covering on top and bottom to hold the bench and bags). I sometimes use a three ring binder to adjust elevation if I don't have my wedge. Works for me and cheap too!

Gee Ernie, I think I could rebarrel my XP a couple of times for that much. Nice rest though.
