I have been working on this project for a while...

Sometimes when we have more time than money we get to creative...

I had an extra forearm that was painted black. It was a factory TC forearm for a standard taper rifle barrel. I REALLY need a forearm for a full bull pistol barrel with two hole pistol barrel spacing. Here is were we had fun. I got a 7/8in dowel rod and covered it with sand paper. I spent the next 1 1/2 hours sanding the the grove to full bull and then an another 1/2 sanding all the stupid paint off and drilling a hole fore the pistol adaptation.

Ps, ya... the forearms wasn't "square" as well. I had to adapt and overcome. LOL

Before picture...

After...

The hole was square on the outside but got off a little on the inside... oh well...

PS, here is what my 8mm GNR now looks like...

Funny how that happens, despite our best efforts.

Nice work, we do get a bit of satisfaction when we do it yourself, don't we.

LOL... It doesn’t help when the piece of wood you were dealing with isn’t square. Also, when I milled the wood down, it took enough of the front of the forearm that it curved the lines downward. I don’t mind it, but it is still humorous.

My gun smith knows when I had to much time on my hands. He just shakes his head and I lower mine and go home.:(

I guess I'm better than you at this type of stuff. I usually mess up a few times before I get it right!!
.....and then end up going out and buying a new one and startin over!!

Not sure about GNR barrels, but EA Brown will drill and tap for either forened if you request it?
