I have a T/C 10" octagon barrel with stock iron sigths. Will it be very hard to mount a weaver or simular rail mount for mounting a scope on the barrel. Or what would you suggest. Cheers

All you have to do is take the elevation screw out of your rear sight. The sight will then flip up, be careful not to loose your tension spring. Then knock the pivot pin out that holds the actual sight to the sight body. This will expose your sight body screws. Remove those and you'll be able to see the 4 scope base screw holes.
Mounting screws are provided in the above base.
I have a 10" octigon .22 that wears a 2x BSA pistol scope. Good shooter.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Not all rear sights are this easy. On some of the older ones there are "ears" on the sight ramp that won't allow you to flip it up by simply removing the elevation screw. You have to remove the elevation screw but the ears won't allow the sight to tip up. You need to then tap out the tension pin and then tip the sight off the base, front to back. They can be a bear to put back together.
