I always wanted on of those 4.5-14x Nikon mil-dots. Supposed to be a great scope for the $. Those Clearidge are also supposed to be a great value for the $ too.

I spent about an hour laying prone on the floor last night with a print out of that pic and my Striker .260R/Mueller 4.5-14X combo. I was studying the measuring proportions against the reticle.

My wife does not even bother to ask what I am doing....she just steps over me and keeps going.

Went out yesterday with this reticle again for coyotes and on one stand an antelope buck ran by and stopped at a lasered 599 yds. Cranked the optic to 16 where the subtensions are true and bracketed the buck at 0.8 of the dot to dot gap (3.14 inch per hundred yds.). Here's what the calc turned out figuring 15" back to brisket for a buck--

15 x 100 / 3.14 / 0.8=597

that was lucky though...but kinda' nice when it works out that close.
