Yesterday a shooting took place at Deer Creek Middle School in Littleton, Colorado, about 30 miles from our home. This made National News and you may have heard about it. Luckily only two students were shot; one has been released and back at home with an arm injury; the other still in serious condition with chest and lung injuries.

This is the school that my step-son Paul attended some 16 years ago.

The "shooter" was a mentaly ill 32 year old man who stole his father's hunting rifle for the shooting.

Another case where 1. You can't blame handguns! and 2. Gun laws did nothing for this scenario, as the firearm involved was stolen from its lawful owner.

More gun laws do not mean more safety. Well Duh!! There are enough gun laws out there already. Well Duh!! When are THEY ever going to figure that out???

Oh, by the way, I believe that there is a law that makes it illegal to have a firearm within 300 feet of a school in Colorado. A lot of good that law does. Once a weirdo decides to do a shooting, armed robbery, or you name it "firearms related crime," that person will find a way to get a firearm no matter what the laws are...

The evil and incompetent don't follow the rules. Thankfully there was a MAN in the area that had his head about him to stop it.
