The 200 gr. factory load from Hornady should work fine for deer and antelope. For elk I would go for the ammo made by Cor Bon. I'm not sure what the weight is, but it is a very high performance load. The most important thing is to practice. The XVR is a very heavy revolver & the report is very loud. Every day I sit in my chair and aim my 460 at a "target" about 50 yds. away and hold it for about 2 minutes. This will build up your muscles that you need to shoot your 460 with. After a couple of MONTHS you will be able to hold it much steadier. It's just like working out with a weight set. Good luck & good shooting.
