The 25 Souper and the 270/308 (270 Redding) are wildcats but the rest are factory offerings based on the 308 case. The 308 family of cartridges is about the best case for the 15" barrel. IMHO

I see I have the little brother of the 308 family , thats fine Ill just have to graduate to atleast the middle of the family, in time that is. Thx for the pictorial
I am interested in the Nikon Encore scope. I think ive talked the local bass pro manager into getting a couple in so I can put my hands on one. I own both a 7mm-08 and .243 barrels for my encore. the 7mm-08 is very accurate with handloads. 120 gr Noslers at 2600 cant wait to shoot something with it. the 243 needs a scope and im hoping the encore nikon will do the trick. I own 5 of there rifle/shotgun and muzzle loader scopes now and could not be more pleased

Handgun Hunting!!! Interested in 2007 Hooked in 2009 Addicted in 2010
The time has come, I pick her up Thursday! A Prohunter pistol in a 243, blued barrel SS frame with Packy grips! Im looking at either the Burris or Nikon scope to top her off. Next month a good freind of mine is gonna help me find a round for it and Im hoping and praying I can hit a flys wings at 200yrds with it . I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!.
My 243 factory barrel Encore will shoot as well as any rifle I own. Took a doe at 212 yards this a few weeks ago with it. This was my first handgun deer and now I'm hooked. Loads are pushing 85gr Barnes TSXs at 2975 fps.
