In the Cowboy shooting area, The Italean gun makers are building the "Mares Leg" which when Steve McQueen played Josh Randal in Wanted Dead or Alive was a cut down rifle. They are selling it as a handgun and apperantly BATF is OKing it sice it was never a rifle but comes from the factory that short. I thought I read the same with Johny Yuma's sawed off shotgun.

The mare's leg has been on the market for a few years now, have yet to see the shotgun you mention there. The gov't has different rules for scatterguns than slug slingers, but you can't change from long gun to short gun regardless of what it is chambered for.

That is unless you are willing to pony up a cuppla hunnert for their permission.
