Short answer is NO!

The NICS system which came about because of the Brady Bill is an infringement on our 2A right. If you have certain misdemeanors that are even 20+ years old you can be denied your 2A right. Basically what happened is that one day I could buy a firearm from an FFL and the next day I was declared a criminal and could not. That day was when the Brady Bill went into effect. It has taken me over a year to get my situation in the NICS system squared away, and it's still not done. They've got my data screwed up in the system.

I'm not even sure I agree with the law that felons should not be able to own handguns. Once a felon has paid his debt to society, he should have his 2A rights. Otherwise, if he's that big of a threat to society, he should remain locked up.

The way they recycle "felons" through the system who can know which is "rehabilitated" and which is "career". I don't believe in rehabilitation.

Wapitrod- I find that almost as bad as the govt-at least they don't deny us gun rights just because of how we look. Not selling to a tatooed person would be as bad as not selling because someone was african american and "we know those are all criminals" If its a right its a right. I have a fair amount of tattooes and am no more likely to be a criminal than someone without. We all fight for gun rights-it should'nt matter how someone looks or what they do. we all bleed red when attacked by the "bad guy".....just my 2 cents

I probably came across wrong on that, I have tattoos and most people arent sure of what to make of me because of my size and looks but most of us have an intuition that tells us when something isn't right and looks do play a part as they make the initial impression. One thing I will say is if he has a towel on his head he has better chance of being shot than buying a gun from me.
