How are the triggers on the new g2 contenders?? How heavy are they? Are they adjustable? I've lightened every remington rifle I've ever owned.

my 2 were VERY heavy. i lightened my own by weakening the factory spring. you can buy replacement springs, or send it off to a professional such as "shots tc's" over at specialty pistols site.

I have not been happy with the trigger on my G2 the encores have been great and my old contenders are awsome. My G2 has excessive creep and is rough as a cob. I will send it back at the end of the season right now it has a date with another big old pig!!!!

you can buy the springs from Bellm and he also sales a manual on doing a full trigger job and it's not to bad to do if you have any mechanical aptitude.

Same response as Kyode and H20Bug, very stiff and heavy on a brand new G2 owned by a Silhouette mate that I shoot with. My old model Contender is way smoother and user freindly.

nope....not the case at all. the G2 can have a great trigger. it just needs fixed, just as most any gun does for the best pull.
the G2 action is great. i like it EXTREMELY well.

I don't know about the G2 trigger but I have read that they are the same as the Encore. With that said I bought an Encore that had a 9.5 pound trigger.
I measured it with my digital trigger pull gauge. I went to Bellm's site and got the 80* diamond hone, Wyoming stone, spring pilers, and a spring kit. I then downloaded his tutorial to my PC. It took me about 45 minutes and I had a 2.5 pound trigger that breaks like a glass rod.

The turorial is great with very exact pictures of each step.
