Just wanted to hear some opinions on shortening a barrel. I have a 15" Encore in 460 S&W and would have prefered it to be 12". I've shot a box of shells thru it and am happy with the accuracy, just would prefer a shorter barrel. What do you think?

Honesty if it is shooting leave “that” barrel alone! If you want a short“er” barrel Bullberry is having a sale on shorties. JMHO though.

Have you shot that barrel through a chrony? If so, what velocities did you see with what ammo?

Haven't shot thru a chrony. Am shooting the hornady 200 grain.

I will agree with TC if you have a good barrel don't risk messing it up get a second shorter barrel.then see what you like best and sell the other if you want.
