From HBG...the range is about 2hr, 45 min. I make that drive a couple times a year for work.....heck....I'll be doing it on Thursday.
How many rounds...don't really know. jimmylee and I set targets from about 8:30 to 10AM...repaint steel, jugs, paper, etc. Unless someone wants a paper target up that we did not do, we generally only go downrange once to take a break, clean up jug carcases, check for survivors, reset any knocked over and go back at it. We shoot from about 10AM until you feel like quitting. Most years we go till about 4PM. That's when the long distance travelers are about ready to head home. I'll stay until everyone is either out of ammo or darkness falls.
If you have a gun that you really want to ring out, bring at least 50-100rds. If you are bringing multilpe guns then the rd count for each could be a little less...still though...50 per gun would be plenty. We may run out of jugs but there are still the steel plates.
