I guess I didn't word things correct. I would like to see a Nosler Partition, in the .224 caliber. I would use it in the 223. My 22-250 has a 1-12 twist.
Most 1-7 twist are in the 223 caliber nowadays. That, is a better choice than a slower twist in either caliber, IF,, you are going to use a 70gr or heavier.
Specialty pistols or Contenders, I was hoping those of you using that caliber might have an opinion, about a "Partition" for the said caliber.
While I do appreciate the fact that several or even many kills have been made with lighter bullets, from whatever angle or whatever area of the hog it was placed into. I was not trying to steer the thread in this direction. But obviously my comment about "thinking of Hogs" stirred the pot. Haaa Previously most of my hunting, was not with the 223 since I felt that a decent bullet was not available.
I Had NOT tried the Barnes.
Actually I had not even given a whole lot of thought to using a 223, until recently.
