l have recently been eyeing single action revolvers and have been

especially drawn to the Bisley style grip frames.. l really like

the looks of the Ruger Hunter SBH ''BISLEY'' 41&44 Magnum models.

The Ruger Hunter Bisleys with their sharp grip angle, low hammer,

and barrel mounted optics seem to be a near PERFECT design..

l am however, very familiar with Freedom Arms Revolvers. They are

dominant in IHMSA silhouette competition. l see them winning in

virtually every class. Rim Fire or Big Bore, its Freedom Arms.

Returning to my thread question. Do freedom Arms revolvers have

Bisley style grip frames?

Thanks, 282

ps, l don't own, nor have ever fired a Freedom Arms revolver..

No. they drop straighter, and are a bit longer than a standard Blackhwk grip frame, but do have the second stepped-in contour, up to the main frame, rather than the continuous flow of the Bisley contour.

First off Yes,,,to your quoted question "Do Freedom Arms" have a Bisley Style grip frame.
Ruger has a Bisley Style grip frame.
Colt has the original Bisley grip frame.
Magnum Research has now come out with their version of a "Bisley Style" grip frame on their BFR
None of the manufacturers listed will infringe upon Colt's design. It is much easier to come up with their own design.
