SSK 6.5/.284 XP, 130 gr. AB, 303 yds.
What can I say. I'm very fortunate to live in deer and (previous) groundhog paradise. It's taken a long time to achieve this, but I'm livin' a dream that keeps me young at heart.

There aren't many hunters with that many deer under their belt, period, let alone with a handgun.

I'm hoping Doc will write a book soon. He is a treasure trove of handgun hunting information.

If every deer averaged 3.5 feet it makes this a "Mile-and-a-half-stone" of deer end to end .... more than a Milestone.

Hats off you you, Sir.

James, I do get a fair # of people doubting my numbers. I tell them a respect a person who knows their limitations. Mostly I could care less. I have records of most kills going back 35+ years. I know what I've done and I'm proud of it.
Thanks guys for the nice comments.

What an example and inspiration you are. We should all keep good records, and what I like is that you are still at it and making such fine long range shots. Congratulations Doc.

Very impressive number and even more so with a handgun. Now if you move the decimal 3 places to the left, that's my number....

Great job Doc! Surely no one had done that with a handgun & perhaps less than a handful with a rifle. You've done it the right way, YOUR WAY! You don't have to answer to anyone, those that know you don't question the numbers, just keep having fun & staying young.

Wow! Amazing milestone! Congrats! Thank you for sharing your experience with various rounds and bullets along the way. I've been a "follower" since your chapter in the book Hunting for Handgunners. We have all benefited greatly from your experience.

Congrats. When the Sixgunner was being published, I would look forward to your stories. I can't imagine many guides have been part of that many successful hunts.
