Another thing to consider is the hardness of the lead core in relation to jacket thickness....

Custom Bullet manufacturers allow you to pick your own jacket thickness...like Fury Custom Bullets for example

There is a lot to this. Not only the hardness of the core, and the thickness of the jacket, but the hardness of the jacket. Was it made of pure copper? 5% zinc? 10% zinc? Was the jacket annealed after forming, or was it left in it's work hardened state? Or is it plated on?

Thats why when people say theres not one bullet for everything its not really accurate. They arent cheap, but short of elephants ya got a bullet adequate for deer and hogs but also dangerous game.

Than again i might use em on elephants.

No wondering too fast or too slow. No wondering if youre too close or to far. 5 ft or 200 yards. They get it done. Expensive but they do it all, yes aframes.

I`ve used all the sectioned bullets pictured above except the two on the left to take game with the only difference being that my Sierra was in .44 caliber and ALL THAT I`AM SAYING HERE is when I put them in the right place they worked...

Also found it interesting how the shape of the Sierra bullet so closely matched JDJ 320gr cast....
